Why Pop Off exists.
The long version of the video: what happened when I went viral, what it cost me, and what I did next.
You just went viral.
You had absolutely no idea it was coming. And now your DMs look like this.
Crypto guys. Anonymous accounts. Anime profile pictures. Everybody wants to launch something, promote something, sell something.
And suddenly, everybody’s making money off your moment—except you. But you also don’t want to accidentally get involved in some sketchy crypto scam.

Not that long ago, I was in exactly the same situation.
My fruit fly brain project, The Driving Fly, blew up on X. It started as a fly learning to drive, and within a week it was parallel parking.
Then the press picked it up.
From The New York Times to papers in India, Mexico, China and Hungary. It even got its own Know Your Meme entry.
I had no idea how any of it worked.
I went massively viral, had no idea how any of this stuff worked, and I left more than $300,000 on the table.
It was only afterwards that I actually learned how this world works.
$300k+
left on the table.
A month embedded in the memecoin world.
So I spent the next month embedded in the memecoin community—talking to traders, developers, launchers, market makers, the whole ecosystem—and learning the ins and outs.
- Traders
- Developers
- Launchers
- Market makers
- The whole ecosystem
And that’s why I started Pop Off.
Now, when somebody unexpectedly blows up online, just like you, we help them make sense of it.
- Understand what’s happeningWhat the messages in your inbox actually are, and who’s behind them.
- Find what’s legitimateWhich opportunities are real, and which ones to walk away from.
- Take part, if you want toTurn the moment into something you can participate in too—on terms you understand.
“If you pop off, I don’t want you leaving money on the table like I did.”
