Pop Off is an agency for people who didn’t plan to go viral. It helps creators and internet personalities make sense of crypto pitches, understand the risks and decide whether a memecoin campaign is right for them.
Founded by Mark Unthank following his own viral experience, Pop Off coordinates campaign planning, technical setup, communications, disclosures and payout reporting. Its approach centres on informed consent, written agreements and a clearly disclosed share of campaign creator fees. Creators do not need prior crypto knowledge or have to purchase the campaign’s token to participate.
Mark Unthank — Founder, Pop Off
Mark Unthank is a software engineer, creative technologist and founder of Really Nice. He is the creator of The Driving Fly, an independent project exploring simulated control using a neural model structured around measured fruit-fly brain connections. He founded Pop Off after his own viral experience brought a wave of crypto pitches, with the aim of making those conversations more understandable, transparent and accountable.
First came the fly. Then came the DMs.
Mark Unthank created The Driving Fly, an independent experiment using a neural model built from mapped fruit-fly brain connections to operate a simulated body at the controls of a virtual car. The project explores individual control skills—not a living fly driving a real vehicle or a demonstration of general autonomous driving.
When his work went viral, Mark’s inbox filled with crypto pitches. People wanted him to promote coins, share links and put his name behind projects. What was less clear was who to trust, where the money came from and what he would be agreeing to.
That experience became the starting point for Pop Off: helping people understand the opportunity and the responsibilities before lending their name to a campaign.
Pop Off’s proposed arrangement is a 50/50 split of the creator fees assigned to an eligible campaign: half to the creator and half to Pop Off.
This is not a split of the token’s market value, trading volume or all fees collected by the platform. There is no upfront Pop Off management fee. Any separate professional or third-party charges are identified and agreed in advance.
The fees come from trading activity. Creators and Pop Off can earn fees while traders lose money—a conflict that must be disclosed. Earnings are not guaranteed and may be zero.
Pop Off’s stated policy prohibits hidden speculative token allocations, personal-profit trading in client tokens by Pop Off or its employees, and manufactured trading activity. Its compensation comes from the disclosed fee arrangement.
